The Kagei Adachi-ryū (花芸安達流) was founded in 1912 by Choka Adachi and is now managed by Iku Adachi in the 3rd generation. The school is also known by the short name Adachi-ryū.
The typical characteristics of the Kagei Adachi-ryū are:
- Emphasis on asymmetry. The arrangement is not placed in the middle of the bowl or vase
- More water - the life element of plants - is shown
- Only natural materials are used, not artificial / coloured
